Crypt Dragons are a subtype of dragons that are usually found lurking within dark caves.
Description[]
Unlike other dragons who seek out treasures and trinkets, Crypt Dragons hunt for magical knowledge and fateful items. They have been known to wield powerful artifacts that carry curses to terrorize areas around tombs and graveyards.
Notable Crypt Dragons[]
- Flametongue the Red — A fiery dragon known for destroying potions.[1]
- Graaz — A female dragon who has kidnapped Princess Daufina. Daufina's father, the King, recruited a band of adventurers to rescue his daughter from Graaz's lair. When the adventurers confront Graaz, she claims to be "knight-killer, wizard-slayer, and kingdom-shaker," and to have destroyed a castle with her talons.[2]
- Grimfire — A dragon who resides in a dungeon with its allies Firefang the Hellhound and Firebane the Demon.[3]
- Nova — A female dragon who lacks the fire breath of standard dragons.[4]
- Sess the Forge[5]
- Tog — A dragon who had laid waste to a small village, but was driven off by a group of priests. He made his home in a dungeon where he used magic to great a mystical circle that ensures oblivion to any hero who falls to his power.[6]
